Emulators

Emulators are necessary to easily test your mod. As there are various emulators that each specialize on different aspects, we have compiled a list of some below. Please note that these emulators are meant only for legally backed up game cartridges; TREZ does not condone piracy.

VisualBoyAdvance-M

The most up-to-date version of VisualBoy Advance, and universally considered the best Game Boy Advance emulator. This is an update to classic VBA with many optimizations and various new features.

This is a special version of VBA that emphasizes perfect video capture. Videos recorded with this version will not have video/audio desynchronizing bugs that other versions of VBA may have. Recommended if you want to record video.

GBA Graphics Editor

Made by Nintenlord, this is the graphics editor of choice for most TREZ modders. However, please note that many sprites in the Battle Network games require a special tool in order to be viewed correctly. This tool requires the Microsoft .NET Framework.

This useful tool created by TREZ’s Greiga Master lets you easily turn any properly formatted 40×48 image and turn it into an Action Replay cheat for use in the Star Force games. This tool requires the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Pokemon Autograph Generator

This useful tool created by TREZ’s Greiga Master in coordination with Prof .9 lets you easily convert any properly 2 color(black and white) 192×64 autograph image into an Action Replay cheat for use in the DS Pokemon games. This tool requires the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Star Force Card Generator

A fun tool created Greiga Master that lets you create a fake card image. This tool requires the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Over the years, many a TREZian have created their own Battle Network game mod. Here, you will be able to find the ones that proved to be fan favorites.

In order to use these mods, you will need a ROM cartridge backup with the correct version and region. The only way to obtain this is to backup a game cartridge you have legally bought. TREZ does not condone piracy.

Most of the mods below add extra content to the game; as such, it is recommended that you start playing from a fully cleared save file.

A unique patch that, instead of transforming the game into something new, focuses on retaining the spirit of the original, polishing the main campaign and incorporating many features never seen before in other mods. A new area has been added to the game with tons of things to do.
